A woman was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital and is currently fighting for her life after being stabbed by thugs who hijacked Senator Mike Sonko’s campaign rally in Umoja Estate on Monday April 17.
TUKO.co.ke has learnt that the thugs attacked residents in the area robbing shops in Umoja One, Umoja Two and Innercore Estates. Sources say they came in the company of Sonko, Embakasi West MP George Theuri and aspiring politician Mureithi Mwenje.
“They had posters of this aspiring candidate Mureithi Mwenje. They had a car which they were putting the looted things,” said Jacktone Ogundo, who lost a meko to the youths.

Those who tried resisting were roughed up and a few cases of some being stabbed were reported.
A police officer who didn’t want his identity revealed said over 50 cases have been reported after the riots but the area’s deputy County Commissioner and Administration Police boss refused to comment on the incident.
